Part of the Strategic Leadership for Digital Learning Series

Module VII is part of the Strategic Leadership for Digital Learning (SLDL) series. This experience helps leaders understand how professional learning, organizational culture, and leadership practices influence the success and sustainability of improvement efforts within digital learning systems. Beyond One-Time Change Efforts SLDL focuses on leadership, systems, and organizational improvement rather than isolated initiatives. Participants examine how culture, trust, professional judgment, and organizational learning influence whether change efforts become embedded in practice or gradually disappear over time. Designed for Practicing Leaders Created specifically for busy educational leaders, each experience emphasizes reflection, application, and practical leadership action that can be implemented immediately within schools, districts, and organizations. Guided by the LEADS Framework Every module is grounded in the LEADS Framework, providing a consistent structure for analyzing challenges, strengthening coherence, and guiding intentional leadership decisions over time. A Connected Leadership Journey Participants may complete Module VII as a standalone experience or continue through the full SLDL series, exploring governance, evaluation, sustainability, and future-ready leadership.

About the experience

Many improvement efforts begin with enthusiasm but struggle to endure over time. Sustainable change requires more than implementing new initiatives. It requires attention to professional learning, organizational culture, trust, and the conditions that influence how people experience change. This Leadership Application Experience helps leaders examine how culture and capacity influence organizational improvement and identify leadership actions that support meaningful and sustainable change. Through concise video segments, guided reflection, practical application activities, and professional dialogue, participants move beyond understanding change-related concepts to applying leadership practices that strengthen learning, culture, and improvement within their organizations. As participants progress through the experience, they complete a series of structured reflections and leadership applications that are compiled into a downloadable reflective journal. The journal serves as an ongoing professional resource, capturing insights, analyses, and leadership actions that can inform future decision-making. Participants conclude the experience with: * A deeper understanding of vision, drift, and leadership responsibility * A completed systems analysis of their own context * A LEADS-based leadership action * An initial implementation strategy * A downloadable Professional Development Certificate of Completion * A downloadable reflective leadership journal

How the Experience Works

Participants move from understanding to action through a structured process of reflection, analysis, application, and leadership planning. Video → Reflect → Apply → Integrate → Leadership Action → Dialogue
